How to Build Back-Yard Horseshoe Pits
This is one of the completed horseshoe pits.
A couple of things not pictured or mentioned... I used long lag screws to secure the backstop to the beams as well as the front piece of 4x6 to the sides. We used eight 50 pound bags of standard play sand to fill the pits.
